Previous projects
Genoeg van Samba
Directed by Titus Tiel Groenestege, Genoeg van Samba (Enough of Samba) was an autobiographical theatrical concert blending Dutch cabaret songs and monologues. Performed alongside pianist-actor Mike Boddé, the piece explored Brazilian artist Viviani Godoy's life as both a performer and a caregiver for the elderly, navigating integration into the Netherlands.
Cabaré de Asfalto (Cabaret of the Streets)
The project Cabaré de Asfalto (Cabaret of the Streets) was a show created in 2014 by the great composer Moacyr Luz in partnership with poet Rogério Batalha, featuring Viviani Godoy as the lead performer. Performing 12 unreleased songs written by the duo, Viviani Godoy — accompanied by two musicians — embodied the character Maria Farrapo. She not only sang but also recited poems by Rogério Batalha and drifted into romantic dreams.
Electro Côco
Côco is a traditional Brazilian music style where the vocalist is accompanied by the rhythms of a pandeiro. Electro Côco played a mix of Brazilian styles supported by a strong electronic dance groove, without losing the gentle Brazilian feel. An eclectic mix of influences from drum 'n' bass and reggae, but retaining the distinctive Brazilian sound called côco.
